Master's Thesis: Use of digital marketing channels within a growth mentality: An ethnographic study.
This study provides insight into the use of digital marketing channels in venture backed B2C startups in Egypt, with aim of answering the research question: what digital marketing channels are Egyptian venture backed B2C startups using for growth? The impetus for the study stems from the lack of research on digital marketing robustness in Egypt in general but more importantly in startups who are, by virtue of their nature, in a precarious position when it comes to growth. A thorough review of studies relating to the difference between SMEs and startups in Egypt, the entrepreneurial ecosystem and its evolution, digital marketing theory and growth marketing for startups was conducted in order to establish the theoretical underpinnings of this
study.
